cc question + cc magic.[SOLVED]

hello there :newfag:
so i've just started using ccmagic and much like this site, its a godsend Hammertime
I've downloaded a whole bunch of cc ^_^ converted everything to packages when I could after checking it with Custard & Delphys Dashboard, [except the store stuff downloaded from here which just goes into cc magic as is cos who can be bothered when it does it for you (: ] and install them in ccmagic, and then install lots and sims through launcher..

however i'm a bit confused and was wondering if anyone could help? Help

do you guys recommend installing the lots from your store mediafire directly in the launcher? or converting them to packages and trying them in ccmagic?
although not even sure if ccmagic puts it in the right place for the game to read if its a package file (i realise it supports s3ps but packages ftw)

on cc tumblrs i've downloaded sims from, they link you to the custom content they've used, from which i've downloaded the package files for the cc and put in cc magic, but the extra cc also comes with the sim in the s3p i'm pretty sure because converting the s3p to package and its conflict galore so I was wondering,
is it possible to have the cc in the s3p file in the launcher and as a package in ccmagic or will that just cause conflicts and problems that delphys amazing dashboard won't pick up :\

not exactly the same question as above, but say I have two custom lots conflicting as packages, do they still count as conflicting in s3p form, i just can't see it or the conflict has just moved to dccache :\

Welcome.
Lets see...
Personally I'd recommend installing lots with the launcher. CCmagic won't process them as is. While they can be converted to packages, they don't work as other packages would. One of the extracted files would have to go in the library folder. I'm not sure which one, but you could find that out using google.

I don't think duplicate CC's will cause conflict per se. The only thing that could happen is, that you'll also have duplicates in game. That's more of a nuisance than anything else, but if the sim you've downloaded comes with the cc, it seem useless to install the same cc separately.

I'm not sure about already conflicting files. When extracted to package, they still conflict. It depends on the type of conflict I think. If 2 custom lots conflict because they come with the same CC, I wouldn't expect many problems to be honest.
