PC Crashing

Post by sujinj523 on Thu 31 Jan 2013, 11:32

First of all, thank you so much! Very Happy I installed everything successfully. And I mean everything (all the EP, SP, and Store content lol!). Now, I can start up the game fine. I can even play for a little while, but my computer keeps crashing after some time. I always get the blue screen of death and my computer restarts. Does that mean my computer's not high-tech enough? Or is there something wrong with my game? Please

How high do you have your graphics set? I think this could be an overheating problem. If your graphics aren't very high, then you may end up having to uninstall expansions or stuff packs in order to run the game without as many issues.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by how high I've set my graphics... If I upgrade my graphics card, will that make my game run smoother?

Your in-game settings, like draw distance, sim detail, all of those settings.

Theoretically, yes. However, it's not a 100% sure-shot at it, as the game is picky about which graphics cards it wants to use, and it also uses a lot of other aspects of your computer in it's operation.

Hello,

It could also be related to other hardware though. It may be failing or not inserted properly (on a desktop) but if you're on a laptop, overheating is the first thing to rule out.
