Laptops very a whole lot. Looking at a article on laptopmag.com here, has a Alienware for $4,454, which is the best gaming laptop of 2012. But that doesn't make it the best to play the sims 3, which isn't that highly requiring game for the most part.

Just mainly need to look for the specs on them to make sure it covers the recommend to play it decent, and components are compatible, since The Sims 3 doesn't do well with some graphics card/integrated graphics in the processor.

Hello,

The freezing does not necessarily mean that it's a computer hardware problem. It can be a lot of things: Mods, Custom Content, drivers etc.

I also recommend using GameBooster too: www.iobit.com/gamebooster.php
