Hello there, first sorry about my english. I'm from France and trying to do my best..

Well, it's been awhile since i try to got my sims 3, at first i downloaded the BlackBox that was complete, until the supernatural and others go out. But it's impossible de add an expansion to this torrent so, i tried your. Downloaded everything. Followed the instruction and aplly all the patch fixes (manually or not, tried both).

I've been installing, and reinstalling and i always have this problem when going to the launcher. And i can't play the game. It's saying "There was an error during startup. Please see the log for more details"

It's kinda long to instal and re-instal... I'm tired and really want my sims 3 seanson and supernatural, and...th In fact, ALL THE EXPANSION ahaha ^^

I don't think i've made something wrong. But as i'm not the best in english, i'll tell you what i've done.

Installing the Base Game with the 2 Disk with Daemon Tools Pro and following the instruction.
I'm not sure if the problem come from here, but i've applied the crack for the base game. I've understand in the instruction in the forum to do not apply de crack for the expansion. And i'm maybe wrong.

Then i've installed the extentions and not updating with the fix because there where not error for the update, so when i install the extentions, it automatically install the updates. By the way, I don't have Origins but EA Download Manager. It's not written to do not install both of them. And maybe the trouble come from here.

Well, even if my game was up to date, i've followed the step 2 and updating with your patch, and then, applying the big fix.

Still having this : "There was an error during startup. Please see the log for more details"

The funnier, is that i've tried to play with only de base game installed, and it worked perfectly, until I install an expansion.

Hello,

Yes, the BlackBox edition messed up your Registry. That's was we recommend NOT to use any BlackBox edition, ever.

I tried. I no more have this message.

But now, when i try to run the game, they ask me for 70's etc tec.... Dick.

How can i fix that ? I've made the fix manually

EDIT: My fault, i've didn't understand 1 word. It seems like working very great right now, i almost have all the expansion (kinda long to download). And the most important, all the news ones until Showtime work very great. So thank you very much. You can delete i guess my post, it's useless. I'm sorry i haven't tried more post before posting mine.
