World Adventures question

Post by winterluna on Wed 27 Feb 2013, 21:16

I saw in another forum that if you're having an issue with the World Adventures problem, to install the manual patch. I got to step 5: "Now open the 'Crack 3' folder and start the 'Sims3_1.2.7.00002_from_1.0.631.00002.exe' ". When I opened the first one, it prompted me to a website that said something about a file missing or whatever. So I found a topic with someone who was having the same issue. I installed the manual patch and was now wondering if I should continue on with the next steps; mainly putting in the serial code which I haven't done.

Right, I understand the first step. But I haven't even finished with WA yet, simply because I'm unsure exactly HOW to finish it, more or less if I do skip the cracks and go straight to the actual setup.

EDIT: Nevermind. I got it. Smile

Hello,

Just skip all the steps that require you to do anything with the "# Crack" folder(s), it's that simple.
Glad to hear you got it so far.
Please let us know the final result and if you need any assistance during the process.

It's working perfectly fine so far. Very Happy Only issue is that some of the icons at the bottom of the launcher aren't lit up, but the extensions are in the game. Not a big deal to me lol, it runs.

Hello,

Hmmm... do you want to fix that problem? If yes, please re-download and re-apply the manual patch from step 2: http://games4theworld.bestgoo.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly

After that, check the Launcher. Do the icons show up now?

I got them all now. Smile Thanks so much! Though I do have a question. Not so much of a problem, just curious. Once I've installed all the expansions, base game, and the packs I want, can I delete the extracted files or no, as well as the packs that I installed (as in I already installed them and they are siting in the folder I extracted them to)? I know I can delete the .rar folders, since I got everything out of them.

Hello,

Yes, you can remove the extracted files safely. We do recommend keeping the original .rar files though. You might need to reinstall something in the future and, besides, you can't seed any more, without the original .rar file, which is not appreciated by the torrenting community.

Ps. Next time please keep all your problems regarding the same game in one topic, instead of opening multiple topics! Thank you.
