Error Can't connect to Origin

I have Sims 3, Pets, Seasons, Late Night, Generations, Outdoor Living stuff, Master Suite. I have ambitions and the base game on CD and they have worked just fine on their own but once I started downloading from origin I cant play anything now. When the game launcher pops up it says cannot connect to origin. I can log in on both origin and the game launcher and both my log ins and passwords are the same. I'm running the latest update I think (1.50). I also have no background programs running and I'm not on a proxy. I'm really confused why this isn't working.

Please Help

Hello,

The "Cannot connect to Origin" error is nothing to worry about. It won't affect your gameplay in any way.
What exactly is the issue, why can't you play?

As soon as I click to play the game in the game launcher it sits there and acts like its loading for about 5 seconds then does nothing it just disappears

DO NOT skip any steps and RE-DOWNLOAD both the manual patch and the Ultimate Fix. That should get rid of your problem, good luck!
