I have a serious problem!

Post by xbrixsimsx on Mon 22 Apr 2013, 03:39

Okay I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right place so if i'm not i'm sorry WhatDidUJustCallMe? BUT I was having issues with the games so I decided to start from scratch and uninstall the games. I used the Uninstaller Pro to remove the EP's and SP's I downloaded from this site b/c if I did it the normal way it won't uninstall it completely so I did that, Then uninstalled the games I bought normally. I then Reinstalled The Sims 3 and The Sims 3 generations (Games I bought) and now It won't even open. I double click Generations and automatically it says "the sims 3 launcher has stopped working" what do I do?! Help

I have also tried to Bypass the launcher and that still doesn't work.

Uninstalling them normally is the way to do it, every other 3rd party tool just makes a mess of things.

I'm guessing Uninstaller "Pro" didn't remove the registry entries, you'll have to remove them yourself.

The expansions you installed from torrents, especially getting them from g4tw, are no different than the ones you would buy. That's why you can update them and add more expansions to the game.

That being said, did you also restart your computer before trying to re-install the games?

Can you bypass the launcher using "C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Sims 3\game\bin\ts3.exe"?
