Kept on getting Service Initialization Failed (0x0175d824). [SOLVED]

Post by DustyDawn on Mon 20 May 2013, 10:44

My sims 3 wont update on launcher from 1.0.631.00002 to 1.0.632.00002 ( as the instruction said for my base game update before crack) so I decided to use the latest update of University life and installed the said expansion plus its own crack. Then I still got the (0x0175d824) error...
-Uninstall/ reinstall it for more than ten times (with CCleaner if there were registry issues) still having the same problem.
-I changed SKU to 7 because I'm on PH.still having the same problem.
-my netframework is 4.0 but 3.5 and its components are on in my laptop.(Windows is up to date)still having the same problem.
-I have Nvidia GeForce GT 630 M /Intel HD Graphics 4000 & 8gb ram still having the same problem.

Hello there,

First of all you should always use the #crack from the "Ultimate fix", available
here.
As for that "Service initialization failure", if the #crack from the Ultimate fix doesn't help solve the problem, I recommend doing a "clean" uninstall of all your Sims 3 games. For a start, you can refer to this article here:
http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:TS3_Uninstall

Pay attention to the parts about deleting the registry keys manually and deleting the "uninstall information" !
Of course, in theory it may be enough to use one of the numerous "registry cleaners" but 1) not all of them can remove registry remnants of The Sims 3 and 2) they can do serious damage to your system
Wink, which is why I recommend deleting the registry entries manually.

I think your right. Looking back I havent tried to manually uninstall from the registry. Now that I am done with the cleaning part, I'm on the process of installation and hopefully this time, it'll work. I'll post the results soon. Thanks Smile

//EDIT
Still have the same problem. I kept getting the error
still getting it Sad

>>>followed instructions number 3 & 10-14 of Ultimate Fix

OKAY EVERYONE I GOT THE SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM LOL! IT TURNS OUT MY
LAPTOP DOES NOT LIKE THE GAME VERY MUCH AS I DO SO IT PREVENTS THE GAME
FROM LOADING WHEN IT GOES FULL SCREEN -_____-

SOLUTION:
GO to option.ini file on MY DOCUMENTS ELECTRONIC ARTS SIMS 3 FOLDER
RIGHT CLICK AND EDIT WITH NOTEPAD
LOOK FOR THE FOLLOWING:

RESOLUTION ( Set the first two numbers the same with your device resolution and set the third number to 0 i.e 1366 768 0 )

if that does not work enough scroll down more and look for:

FULLSCREEN and set to 0 Smile

THEN SAVE!!!!

ROFL. HAPPY SIMMING! Very Happy
