Supernatural Needs Disk. [SOLVED]

Post by thegirlyjoker on Fri 31 May 2013, 03:12

I recently have gotten both Sims 3 base game and Supernatural expansion from games4theworld. I followed all the instructions correctly. Used the fix. But, when I open the launcher and try to start it, it asks for a disk. None was there for me to mount so I don't know what to do. HELP!!!!! Wat.

If your based game already up to date i think you just have to copy the #crack or only the supernatural crack and past into it.

I guess maybe a few step was wrong.

So before you replied I reinstalled supernatural. Now it no longer asks for a disk, but it won't start after hitting the start button. The launcher disappears . Then I tryed to bypass the launcher by double clicking TS3.exe but nothing happens then either.

You open the task manager and see the processes , see either the sims 3 is running or not . I have this problem last time and that because my laptop can't support the game.It have to wait for a long time than only the game pop out.

I opened the task manager. After starting the TS3.exe it showed up on the processes. Then a black screen popped up like it was going to work, but than a pop-up said, Unable to start game Service initialization failed (0x039e8474)

@ zzshin, those instructions are for Mac.
Please first go to My Documents/Electronic Arts and rename the "The Sims 3" folder (add a letter, so that the game won't recognize it anymore) and start your game again. Does it help?
If not, go to My Documents/Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 and delete the following files:
-CASPartCache.package
-compositorCache.package
-scriptCache.package
-simCompositorCache.package
-socialCache.package
Then also delete the folders DCCache, DCBackup, WorldCache and Thumbnails.
See if it helps...

I renamed the sims 3 folder, but it messed something up. I started up the game and the same thing happend, but when I went to the E.A. folder a new The Sims 3 folder was there. Now I also no longer have TS3.exe or TS3W.exe on my computer due to changing the name. I still tried deleting the folders and still turned out to be a no go.

Oh, I put it in bold, so you would notice.
I was talking about My Documents!
Now best thing to do is to drag & drop everything in your renamed folder to the re created one, and replace.
Then go to MY DOCUMENTS and try what I said...

I did do just as you say and went to C:\Users\Acer\Documents\Electronic Arts. Sorry I wasn't clear on that.

I thought from here...
Ok then, this is weird...
Do you have any mod or custom content? Any saved game you want to keep?
If not, then delete every folder in My Documents\Electronic Arts, then re-apply every step of the Ultimate Fix to replace your .exe files.
Then start your game...
