lifespan issue!!!!! please help!!!

Post by sheilajanae1 on Thu 06 Jun 2013, 05:44

Hello, im new, i have sims 3 base game, pets, and master suite stuff installed correctly. it has been running fine with a few occasional crashes, but nothing to bad. today i was playing, and i noticed my sim was going to age up from young adult to adult in a few days, and i didint want that to happen yet, so i went on to edit lifespan, and i changed it to epic, (it was on long before), i accepted it and then i look at my lifespan bar and for all my sims even my pet it says 0 days left to age up,so im like omg nooooo, so then i go back to edit lifspan to see what happend, and it still is on epic? so i dragged the slider a little to make it longer, accepted it,and my lifespan bar was still full, and then 5 seconds later my game crashes!!. and when i log back on, same thing, lifespan bar is full, i go to try to edit it,doesn't help, then game crashed and this keeps repeating Sad

any idea what the heck is going on???

I think they change in proportional, so if it is over, is over, if is half it will probably stay half. I tried changing that near he/she/it's birthday (options got reset from epic) but the birthday was in the same day. So I cheated and after the birthday I changed my sim back to young adult. Very Happy

Lengthening the lifespan doesn't add days to your sim's life, it just does what it says, lengthens it. So if your sim has 60/100 days left to live and you change the lifespan to last ten times as much they will have 600/1000 days left to live, but if they have 0 days left, 0 x 10 = 0.
