I have tried everything, PLEASE HELP! [SOLVED]

Okay so I have the base game that are store bought then I have late night and outdoor stuff that are both your torrents. Any way everything was working great until the latest update where everyone had to download generations. I downloaded it and did everything I was suppose to.But when I start it up a window comes up saying that I have unofficial game mods, would I like to continue. I press continue and it loads all the way up to where i try to load my family and it crashes...

Did you remove the cracks from the other games at all and replace them with the original files from the fix?

Make sure you follow this guide when installing everything.

Remember to install Generations immediately after the base game, then any other expansions you'd like. skipping steps that ask you to crack or patch. Ignore those. Once you have all the expansions you want installed, check the launcher for updates, then use the Generations crack from here: http://games4theworld.bestgoo.com/t752-the-sims-3-ultimate-fix-should-fix-most-of-your-problems (ONLY GENERATIONS CRACK, ignore all other cracks) and place it in C:/Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Game/Bin.

* Expansions and Stuff Packs You Installed
* Cracks You Applied To All Installations

I have just outdoor stuff and late night then I think the only crack is the one for Outdoor stuff. Everything worked perfectly before I was forced to download Generations

Hi There, follow these instructions and hopefully this will get your game working.

I. Download The Fix: http://www.games4theworld.org/Fixes/The_Sims_3_fix.rar
II. Extract The Fix To Your Desktop
*Note* When you open the fix you will see the names of all the releases; the original files, and a crack folder, which contains the only crack you need.
III. Copy the original files to the appropriate directories.
- Sims 3 and Generations original files go to the Sims 3 Game/Bin/ folder.
- Night Life original files go to the Night Life Game/Bin/ folder.
- Outdoors Living original files go to the Outdoors Living /Game/Bin/ folder.
IV. Check to see if the game, expansions and stuff packs are updated to the latest version.
V. Update if needed.
VI. Apply the Generations Crack to your Sims 3 /Game/Bin/ folder, not the Generations /Game/Bin/ folder.

You will never need to apply any cracks to any other game besides Sims 3 when Generations is installed.

No it still does the same thing. I start the game up and a window eventually gets hidden in the background that tells me that I have an unofficial game mod that is out dated, close or continue. I press continue and it continues to start up normally until I try to load my family.

When i try to load my family it takes a little bit like its going to load then is crashes

Ok, well it sounds like a file may have corrupted. Would you mind uninstalling your entire sims 3 game for me.

Once that is done I would like you to install The Sims 3, update to the latest version, then install Generations and apply the crack.

After you have done that try and play the game and see if you can play the game. If it works, then install Night Life and update. Once again, play the game and see if it works. If it works with Night Life installed, then please install Outdoors Living Stuff and see whether it works for you then.

Be sure to replace the crack with the original generations files before you update. Do not apply any of the other original file fixes though, just the generations original files from the fix.

Also, have you tried starting a new family to see whether the family may have corrupted? It shouldn't, because my family still works, but that may be the cause.

Hm, interesting. I don't quite see how DEP would make a game crash though. Usually if it crashes a program you will know because DEP notifies you. I use to have this problem with certain programs on windows vista, but haven't had this issue with windows 7 yet. And yes, I do have DEP activated.

I tried that fix and it seemed to help a little bit, but my game still randomly crashes.And by the way, I am a female, favorlock.

Its okay I am simply frustrated, my game worked perfectly fine before I had to install generations. I wasn't even going to download it i was going to be good and buy it. But now my game doesn't work at all. I have tried everything and for some reason it still doesn't work. I am trying to download your version of sims 3 and I am going to try and uninstall and re-install and see if that helps anything.

Hey, I believe the main problem is the fact you are installing with a retail disc. You see, I have made some observations and the people who install with a retail disc seem to have problems with the game not working or crashing. Perhaps you should try installing the torrent version.

Yea, I figured that out too while reading through the other topics on here. It will be a while befor i can test it out because it takes forever to download torrents and I am already currently downloading Mass Effect 2 from this site as well Razz

Both Mass Effect one and two are both great games, then again so is Dragon age one and two. If my computer was faster I wold have all of them. But alas, i cannot TT^TT

But my mission for now is to get my Sims 3 back up and running because my inner nerd is dying knowing it is not working properly.
