What error are you talking about, exactly?

The crack for generations is not TS3.exe, its TS3W.exe and TSLHost.dll. Make sure you are putting these into The Sims 3/Game/Bin and not The Sims 3 Generations/Game/Bin. And as a note, the fix provides the original files which are the folders named after the games and the crack which is found in the crack folder. If your problems continue to exist please provide a list of the expansions and stuff packs you installed and the version of each game.

I wonder if this poster is talking about the registrationcode that is needed for community access, sims store content etc. on thesims3.com.
If so, you'll be disappointed, it can't be fixed.
If not, follow the guide that comes with the fix. It should work.

I own a legit version of The Sims 3 and am able to download custom content. I will eventually create a torrent with a compilation of custom content and store packs for everyone.

Also, to fix any of your problems please take a look at my newly written guide. You can find a link to it in my signature.

I've given up on store content a couple of months ago, there are so many different torrents, I don't remember which ones I got and then the content wouldn't show up anymore after Ambitions or some other EP.
But I would definitely enjoy it, choices are limited at the moment. I'm not using any content other than what came with the base game and expansions, so its pretty much vanilla on my end.

Interesting. The store packs seem to work for me. I just put all of the packages where they belong and it appears to show up in game at least.

Hello,

You forgot to replace the original Game '.exe' with the Cracked one. Do the following to fix this problem:

Open the '# Crack' file in the .rar you Downloaded and copy + paste the 'TS3.exe' to the 'Game Directory > Game > Bin'; by default this will be: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin and REPLACE it by the existing one. The Game should work now.

They showed up under the "sims store" button in build/buy mode, but I had to input the unique serial to access them. It was a real bummer too cause I'd been playing Riverview for weeks and that too was inaccessible after installing a particular EP, it must've been OLS or Ambitions, not sure.

The only problem I have with riverview is it will not show up in game anymore. I don't know why, it just won't show up with the release of Generations.
