Sims 3 generations no disc, even after fix

All goes fine and dandy until I get to the select a town screen. Then I get the following message. "No game disc found, please insert the sims 3 generations disc before proceeding."

I followed all instructions and applied the fix to the correct game folder and am really lost as to what to do now.

Is there a specific order or something that I need to install the games in?
