Service Initialization

Post by Karabritney on Fri 21 Jun 2013, 06:06

I have a hard copy of the sims 3 and I downloaded the university life from this website. I followed everything right I think but every time I try to play it starts loading and then says Service Initialization failed error. I looked everywhere for a solution and haven't found any answers.

Helper edit: Topic moved to "The Sims (3) in-game problems".

Hello,

I hope you didn't update your game to version 1.55 yet ? If not, then I suggest you download the "Ultimate fix" from here: http://games4theworld.bestgoo.com/t752-the-sims-3-ultimate-fix-should-fix-most-of-your-problems

Just click on "click here to download the fix". Even if it says it's "not working", it does for the base game version 1.50 (but not for the new 1.55 patch).

And in order for this Fix to work, you will need AT LEAST one of the following expansions too: 70s, 80s, & 90s Stuff, Seasons, Supernatural, Diesel Stuff, Katy Perry’s Sweet Treats, Showtime, Master Suite Stuff, Pets, Town Life Stuff, Generations!

If you used the big "manual patch" for updating the game, then just copy+paste the two files from the #crack sub-folder in the fix (TS3W.exe + TSLHost.dll) to their right places (see included instructions !). Of course, you need to re-write the "existing files". But if you used the launcher for updating, then you need ALL files in the fix, to put them to their right places.

If you really updated your game to 1.55 in the meantime, then I'm afraid you have to wait for a little while - until the new "Ultimate fix" is released.
