The Sims 3 Island Paradise: Forced Move

Post by Syddie on Wed 26 Jun 2013, 10:46

Since I've installed the latest expansion pack and updated, periodically the game with have a pop-up. It's the move pop-up with two random, large families. I have a screenshot of what happens. When I get the pop-up I can't cancel or confirm the move even though it's not my current active household. I also can't actually move the family anywhere because they are too big to join another family and don't even have enough money for an empty lot. The names of the households are Estrada and Walsh. I have no idea why this is happening, but when it does happen it forces to me to exit my game via the task manager. I am unable to close this and go back to my normal family so if I haven't saved for a while I lose all my progress since there is no other option.

I am using some NRaas mods, but they've been updated and I've never had a problem with it before. If anyone knows what's happening or may be happening, please help.

I had that issue and I just removed the mods, although the mods are updated to 1.55 I noticed on the NRASS site that a lot of mods were updated last night

http://nraas.wikispaces.com/Update+History

So I am guessing they were only patch updates and not IP updates as such

Thank you for the help. I'm pretty sure that it's an error with the NRaas mods. I'm going to remove them and then edit this post if that fixes my issue.

I just ran into this problem like a few mins ago if you are using the new World for Paradise Island there's a 630$ lot you can toss them on but this is where it gets crazy at least for me because somehow the family I was on and this Evicted Family glitched my stuff enough to make me have control o' that Evicted family while showing I was in my own Family but couldn't really do anything.

The easiest way to fix it for me at least was to back out o' the families and going completely into the neighborhood then selecting to go back to my original family. It fixed it for me at least for now anyways hopefully NRAAS fixes that if they know about it.

Hope that helps.

Re: The Sims 3 Island Paradise: Forced Move

Post by Draco on Sat 29 Jun 2013, 20:09

Hello, Im new to the forums here but I have the same issue in my island Paradise, I use quite a few of Nraas mods, I have updated them to all the newest versions as of yesterday and this problem still exist. I am not sure if this is caused from the Nraas mods or not, or even which one of the mods would cause this. I havent tried it without the mods yet, my friend runs all the same stuff as I do and has the same problem. So if any one figures this out please let us know, thanks.

And I also have been getting massive amounts of vehicles in my game but not my friends game, and when i say massive i mean massive the nraas overwatch removes upwards of like 20-40 thousand vehicles a sims night, i jave been cleaning the vehicles maually about every 4-5 hrs sim time cuz it creates so much lag. so any help on this would be awesome also. Thank all.

Hmmm I didn't remove any o' my mods other than the progression mod but that's because o' my other mods and it don't get along I guess but did I make sure once the latest version were available the NRAS site to install them. I haven't experimented to see which o' the mods is causing the glitch yet but I will see if I can replicate what I was doing right when it happened from a previous save.

I might have found the Nraas mod causing it, I found that Nraas Register is not updated to handle the resorts yet and since Twallan is having away until the situation in his hometown has calmed you should remove the mod.

I have removed this mod and so far the forced move has not happened, but I have only been playing a couple hours and not positive this will fix it, I will post back if it happens again.

I am experiencing this issue, and even though deleting nraas mods or updating the ones you've gotten seem to have worked for you, I am still having this issue, despite the removal of ALL nraas mods from my game.

Leaving me with the conclusion that it could not be caused by nraas.

SHould also be noted I tested deleting all mods which did not remove the issue.

Haven't found any info about the issue, beside this thread, so it doesn't seem to be a very widespread issue.
But does anyone have any idea what I should do?? Wat.

Hello there! I'm also having the error, but on 2 computers. My desktop has another family, but the same glitch as my laptop and removing mods is not correcting it.
