Lol, I never had this problem...
But it could be because your game is 1.55...
Anyway I have a 1.55 game with all EPs and SPs, so don't worry!!

Alright, i installed the ultimate fix patch and replaced dlls and exes in the correct place. with the last step i had to place the crack in the sims 3 game/bin folder i did that. So Its TS3W i need to start with? Or another file because i installed 70s,80s and 90s as the last one? Or is it the Sims3W file that i need to open to play the game?

 EDIT:
If TS3W the correct file is, i get a black screen...

Hello,

Yes, TS3W.exe is the correct way of launching the game. Have you applied the manual patch? Have you placed the contents of #crack of the latest Ultimate Fix in C:\Program Files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin?

I have applied the manual patch to 1.55.4(the base game's version). I downloaded the ultimate fix patch and did step 3 to 14. Which means i placed the crack in the sims 3/game/bin folder. I updated my graphic card driver yesterday.

Hello,

Can you show me screenshots of where you place the #crack in? That will be helpful.

Just give me the directory of where you applied steps 3-14 of instructions in Ultimate Fix to.

C:/Program Files(x86)/Electronic Arts/Sims 3/Game/Bin. That's where i applied the crack in. For the expansions it's in a different folder for some, it's the same directory only with an other name then sims 3 like world adventures. If you have the ultimate fix as well, there is an installation guide in it. I did exactly the thing that they described.

Hello,

Then you can open it by 2 ways:

(1) Double-click C:\Program Files(x86)\Electronic Arts\Sims 3\Game\Bin\TS3W.exe
(2) Open the launcher and click "Play" button.

Whats so useful to add exe's to the DEP? And i managed to turn off the 3D thing with NVIDIA. How do I set my graphics to low? I dont know what the 'blue botton' is and what they mean on the left hand side of the screen.

Hello,

Can you quote it out?

As I said before, it may not work for everyone.

Well in the discription it said it might be useful to add .exe files to the DEP in Windows. But why is that helpful, what does it do? I managed to turn off the virtual 3D setting with my graphic card, so that's fine. How do i turn my graphics to low, like when you have a laptop. It was described in i believe step 5 or 6. I don't know how to do that.

 This quote:

  • Click on the '[b style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"]...[/b]' blue Options button on the lower left-hand side of the screen
  • Click on the '[b style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"]Options[/b]' menu options
  • By default, the Graphics tab should be the first tab open
  • Set all your grapics options to '[b style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"]Low[/b]' under the '[b style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"]Graphics Details[/b]' section
  • Click on the Blue check mark button on the lower right-hand corner to commit your changes
  • Relaunch The Sims 3

Hello,

DEP stands for Data Execution Prevention. It will prevent The Sims 3 application for consuming more CPU/RAM. AS for that "Blue button", it is actually the options in The Sims 3. Since The Sims 3 immediately freezed at startup, try the following:
(1) Open up C:\Users\(name)\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Options.ini.
(2) Change the resolution column from 1024 768 0(or 1028 768 1? I am not sure) to 800 600 0.

Hello,

Because The Sims 3 may crash. You can try 1024x768.

Mmm... I have RAM enough... so I don't think that's the problem. Well it's regrettably that you use a lower resolution than your PC actually is. I want to enjoy full gameplay. If you know what I mean, i want to have original resolution.

 Any suggestions?

Hello,

Even if you have more than enough RAM or CPU, The Sims 3 application may not be allowed to consume more RAM or CPU than restricted value.
If all these don't work, then you should try to initate a clean reinstallation. Or you can try Revo uninstaller, which can simplify the process of clean reinstallation.

Hello,

Open C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims3\Game\Bin\Sims3.ini and change the memoryusagelimit to a higher value. Be aware of the number of digits. Have you waited for some time after launching The Sims 3? Since I also get the black screen when I open The Sims 3. But you have to wait.

The Memoryusagelimit is now in 20000000 which is 20GB(20000000MB) that is more than enough, isn't it?
