problem with Mermaids

Post by deblake60 on Wed 03 Jul 2013, 04:32

I found a mermaid and went into CAS to edit her, but I had no tail options. I could edit everything else, except the tail. Also, the species name did not show up either.

Since I had some problems with Island paradise from the start, I am only running nointro, desensor, cheatsenambled (something like that) and I even took out my MODs folder and I still can't edit the colors of the mermaid tail.

I have no problems with any of the other species.

Any thoughts?

Keep in mind, I am now running a vanilla game, I already cleared the cache files.

Hello,

Have you disabled your mods before removing the Mods folder? Because the application may have the memory of the mods if you don't safely disable them.

Hello,

According to Carl's Sims 3 guide, you are not allowed to edit tails of mermaids. Read this to find more. Instead, you need to buy or find a mirror and click it to choose the 'Change Scale Color' option. This will let you change what little you can about your Mermaids, but the scale colors are fully customizable so you can pick a color that you like.
BTW, This further proves that The Sims 3 is not user-friendly.
