Knee-high hooker boots on my baby. [SOLVED]

Post by drod1596 on Sun 07 Jul 2013, 04:37

Hello everyone!

I was wondering if anyone could please help me get rid of the annoying hooker boots! I uninstalled them from my launcher, and when I did they no longer had the sims3pack icon in the bottom right corner, but the package icon. I also uninstalled the pre-made sim that included them, and I deleted the file in DC Backup folder (I always delete everything in there but the ccmerged), but they're still there. I've also used Custard to see if any other of my downloaded pre-made sims included the hooker boots file, but none of them did.

Please help me!
Thank you! Smile

//EDIT

I thought I should add a picture or two:

Oh and on the icons where you click to focus on your sim it's not showing my baby... it's showing the boots

Hello there,

Have you already tried one of the suggestions posted here ? http://games4theworld.bestgoo.com/t2208-sims3pack-installed-world-inaccessible-or-wont-install-fix

Keep in mind though, that this will basically delete ALL your installed ".sims3pack" files. And to anticipate: no, unfortunately, I don't know any other way how to delete only "specific" .sims3packs, if the un-install method with the launcher doesn't work. Crying or Very sad

//EDIT

If you really have the same boots in ".package" file format installed too, then you need to remove that item from My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Mods/Packages.

Hello!
I was hoping you wouldn't suggest that. I did have that option in the back of my head. Just did it though. I followed the directions exactly as listed, but the baby still has the boots.

Also, I do not have those boots in my packages folder which is what's frustrating me.

Hello,

Have you tried resetting that sim?
Are you using any mods that allow clothing for all age groups?

Hello,

Yes, I've resetted the baby more than once. I've also tried resetting the whole lot, but that didn't work either. Also, no I do not have any mod that allows clothing for all age groups.

Alright, then. You might try going into "edit town" mode, then save your sims family into the "bin".

Then make a new savegame and put your family into a new town. You might even try to make a completely fresh savegame, with new sims too - and see if that helped.

Hello,

I did try the fresh new save game, but it did not work. So since I remembered reading somewhere that Custard doesn't catch every corrupt file, I uninstalled all my pre-made sims, and I'm embarrassed to say that it worked. At the moment I'm trying to find out which pre-made sim is the bad one.

I'm so sorry!
And thank you so very much for helping me I really appreciate it!

Helper edit: OK, I interpret this problem as "solved". Happy simming! Topic closed.
