Does anyone know how to repair this?

Anything works fine, it's just annoying and I can't download from the Sims 3 exchange.

These pop up messages are so annoying. I am afraid they're hurting my disc or something. Sims 3 loads well, but freezes my computer after some time. Now, I don't want to play them, because too much 'restarting' damages the disc.

Hello again,

Do you mean you are using a physical DVD to start the game ?

I suggest in that case you (re-)apply the "manual patch", available here: http://games4theworld.bestgoo.com/t1870-can-t-update-the-sims-3-to-v155-fix-manual-patch

After that you download the "Ultimate fix": http://games4theworld.bestgoo.com/t752-the-sims-3-ultimate-fix-should-fix-most-of-your-problems

Extract the #crack folder of the .RAR file (that's the file format of the downloaded Ultimate fix) with WinRAR, then open it (ignore all other stuff!). You will see two files: the TS3W.exe and the TSLHost.dll. Copy these two files to C:\Program files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin. When prompted, you need to "replace/overwrite the existing files".

If you correctly apply these steps, you will be able to play the game without inserting a physical disc.

And about the freezing: for now, have a look at this topic here: http://games4theworld.bestgoo.com/t857-the-sims-3-crashes-freezes-to-desktop-fix-updated-on-29-09-2012.

Good luck ! Smile
