Post by Leduan on Tue 30 Jul 2013, 15:51

Hello everyone i just want to say before anything else that you are just awesome and hope to continue your fine work along the years to come,i have been playing Sims 3 from you guys for a while now and never had major problems i couldn't resolve with your help or by myself but this is getting annoying.

The plan outfit crash which was mentioned not once but many times by our fellow simmers has struck me again and after many days and nights fighting it i gave up,i wanted pro help so here i am.

I installed the game 3 times perfectly using your step by step guidance ultimate fix with manual patch and all, I added the exe's to the DEP i started the game as administrator used game booster you name it i tried it to no avail. I disabled the v-sync and tried many many other ways too.

I don't have custom content nor i intend to use any,i like retail like game, mostly i want this game to work for my wife and mom.

Hello and thanks for your reply speed which is something you don't get these days anymore Smile)

As i mentioned i never used CC and never any mods and won't try to because it will effect the game in a negative way.

Basically i enter plan outfit with my old sim and crashes when i want to choose something or in everyday, i tried with a new sim from scratch and when i wanted to choose swimwear so i can see the muscle and body and definition on the said sim it crashes and basically it is all related to CAS,wish there was a CAS outside of the game Sad

Awaiting your response :X

Hello,

Have you tried to rename this folder: C:\Users\(your computer name)\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3?

Did you change anything on your computer (mostly focusing on updates or changes in settings) right before this started?

Hello,

There are not many options left. You can either reinstall via Revo Uninstaller (which ensure clean reinstallation and clean registry entries). And then reinstall the base game and expansions again.

As i was waiting for your response i installed the game on my other PC and still same bug as before, could it be that i have a Sims 3 Core game downloaded from an other source a few years back, should i download yours ? Or does the mega patch and ultimate fix (fix this problem) ?

Hello,

The Sims 3 downloaded from other sources may cause the problem. Try to uninstall the base game + expansions via Revo Uninstaller and install the one from G4TW (which is the same as the legit disk version).

Hello,

After reading all that, I don't understand what you were trying to say. Can you elaborate? By the way, "Plan Outfit" is actually named officially and widely known as CAS (aka Create-A-Sim) or CAH (Create-A-Household). What do you mean by "my char has a extra outfit which crashes my game, can i get rid of that with an external program,it's like a fourth everyday outfit"?

Re: The Sims 3 plan outfit problem.

Post by Leduan on Sun 04 Aug 2013, 07:07

Ok let be more elaborate as you say,i have a sim which has 4 everyday outfits, one of them was a copy of another with minor details, which now after checking my sims i have no more,so this was sorted apparently. (FIX BY MIRACLE)

I know CAS is the same as plan outfit but I wanted to specify that my crash is related to Plan outfit and clothes changing and not to any other CAS feature,i can make a sim with no problems muscle,face,hair,species,zodiac,etc... but when i go to clothes it begins to crash.

Another thing, after adding my .exe's to DEP i observed an increase in error code 12 instead of a decrease.

I'm up for teamviewer,skype.

Any new update or patch ? Thanks awaiting response :X
