Service Initialization Failed (0x0175dcbb) - Registry Fix

Post by sandrayahya on Fri 09 Aug 2013, 01:51

I apologize if I've posted this in the wrong thread etc. but I'm in desperate need of help and I HAVE read the ultimate fix stuff and manual patch stuff etc.
I've been playing Sims for a VERY long time and I always stumble upon these kinds of problems.
I currently have installed:

The Sims 3 v.1.9
The Sims 3 World Adventures
The Sims 3 High End Loft Stuff
The Sims 3 Fast Lane Stuff
The Sims 3 Late Night

The games were running smoothly until I installed Late Night and the error (in title) popped up. I plan on installing Outdoor Living Stuff, Generations, Pets, Showtime, Supernatural, Seasons, & Island Paradise after I solve this problem.
Also, when I installed Fast Lane Stuff, the readme said to install The Sims 3 v1.15.34.008017 which was on the CD as well and I did. I don't know if this might be the cause of the problem.

Anyways, this is my registry:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

Anyone notice anything odd? I really don't know how to solve this. I got them to work once, then the same thing happened when I installed Supernatural so I uninstalled everything and now I'm stuck here.
Also, my internet is too slow to download the manual patch (1.3 GB) but if that's what I have to do, I'll figure something out. And I have the "No CD" thingamabob fix so I'm good if that error pops up.
Thank you so much for your help [if you help],

A DAMSEL IN DISTRESS,
Sandra

PS: All of my games are from a different provider than Late Night (Late Night is in a folder called Electronic Arts while the others are in SCC something but that never posed a problem before).

Where did you get the SCC-TDS games from?

I got them from a regular CD store (they're pirated). I believe it's a Syrian company or something (I live in Lebanon). Most of the SCC-TDS CDs don't require a crack which is perfect. I can directly access the game from the Desktop shortcut.
Late Night required a crack though :/

Yup, there are no games I don't have installed in the registry (also if this problem keeps up, would I be able to uninstall Late Night, delete it from the registry, and play with Fast Lane without uninstalling everything?)

You have to uninstall everything, use Your Uninstaller!

Then install the SCC-TDS ones, or just the G4TW ones. SCC-TDS install all it games in folder (SCC-TDS) just belong to it.SCC-TDS won't let you install expansions form other companies or something like that.

The company ''Shamfuture'' install games in it original direction so you can install G4TW ones with this company but with SCC-TDS, no hope.

I never had a problem installing expansion packs from 2 different companies etc.
As a matter of fact, I had all the expansion packs installed except for Supernatural & Island Paradise. When I installed Supernatural, I got the "Service etc" error. So I uninstalled everything and now I'm stuck here.
It's just that, they were working fine before, but I always run into this problem.
Thanks for the Uninstaller though. That might come in handy Very Happy

Hello,

First of all, please try to be a bit patient; both Admins and most other Moderators and Helpers are not regularly available at the moment; but I am here (now), and I will try to help you.

It does take some time, but I recommend you do a manual clean un-install of all your Sims 3 games; follow this guide here: http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:TS3_Uninstall

After you un-installed all your Sims 3 games, some Helpers recommend to re-boot the computer, so do that too.

And yes, download all your games from "Games4TheWorld" (click on the link in my signature "G4TW torrent downloads") - and re-install then.

Good luck !

Thanks Carlos, but my internet is way too slow for 1 or more GB of download. I'm uninstalling all my Sims 3 games. I managed to make it work once before, so I'll see what I can do. Thank you though! And sorry for being impatient it's just that it gets a little frustrating.

OK, then. If you say you got it working in the past, then just un-install, and use these "SCC-TDS" games. Maybe it does work (so don't download anything new yet). In theory, the Ultimate fix should work for all Sims 3 games, because they are basically the same, no matter who the uploader is. As far as I'm concerned, I got most of my Sims 3 games from G4TW, but I also have some from Razor - and I never had any problems with that.

But yes, I'm not sure if these "SCC-TDS" versions are somehow "modified"...so let me know the result ! Wink

I'll update you in a few hours. Thank you for your concern Embarassed I'll try uninstalling, then installing every single Sims 3 game I own then applying the ultimate fix and updating the base game. Sound good?

Do it this way:

1) Install base game
2) Apply the manual patch
3) Now install all the expansions you like
4) Re-apply the manual patch (even if it says your game is "updated already")
5) Take the two files from the #crack folder of the Ultimate fix; copy the two files to C:\Program files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin. Of course, you need to "replace the existing files".

Good luck again ! Smile

When I install the expansions, do I apply the crack from the ultimate fix folders or the Crack folder on the CD?

Again, if you use the manual patch, then you only need the two files from the #crack folder of the "Ultimate fix" (ignore the other contents in the fix !).
