Screen Problem

Post by Mera on Fri 30 Aug 2013, 13:27

Hi.
I play Sims on Minimized mode (that's what they call it, right?) in default mode. When I change it to the fullscreen mode, the screen turns kind of black.
Here:

Minimized mode:

Fullscreen mode:

And another issue: When I go the Edit Town mode, the game crashes. no matter in which town I play.
Help me please.

Hello,

Are you sure you have checked these in Settings/Graphic tab:

(1) Animation soothing
(2) Advanced rendering
The screen refresh rate should be Default while the game is in fullscreen mode, while the screen refresh rate varies while the game is not in fullscreen mode.

Have you tried all the methods in this post to prevent crashing? Do you have any mods/CC?

Hello,

I suggest you turn up "Brightness" during fullscreen mode. This (maybe) is the only way that you can deal with "fullscreen glitch".

Have you tried all those methods to prevent crashing?

Hey! That used to happen to me too, usually when I ALT TABBED to do something then I ALT TABBED back to the game and the game did become darkish. Set it's default mode to Fullscreen, and then restart the game. By the way it's called windowed mode.

Hello,

Yes I heard that avoiding alt-tabbing can be a way to avoid loading problems as well.
