The Sims Complete Collection visuals are washed

Post by jackofthehowley on Sun 01 Sep 2013, 03:32

first of all, apologies that this isn't to do with the sims 3 (that's working), this is to do with the sims 1. I downloaded the complete collection from thepiratebay, the installation was fine, until i created a family and moved them in. everything expect the ui and my sims was washed, the house and its furniture etc. I've tried lowering the settings and I've my drivers are up-to-date. it looks like my game is a painting with water over it. I've enclosed a picture of the glitch. thankyou for reading.

//EDIT

It seems the photo isn't there. I'm new to the forum (posting a thread-wise)

Hello,

I experienced this glitch too. this glitch can be easily solved by restarting your game and don't alt-tab or press the window key when The Sims 1 is being loaded.

Thanks for the information, it's quite late now and I'm watching TV but I'll try in the morning. I used to play it when I was younger and I still have the complete edition on disc but it was scratched. Thanks again!

Hello,

Where did you download the torrent? I suggest you download one from games4theworld and uninstall this one with Your Uninstaller Pro (available in www.games4theworld.org) with Super Mode. And reinstall it according to the instructions.

Hello,

Did you download it via uTorrent or BitTorrent? In case your download is corrupted, I suggest you redownload one and try again.

Yes, I downloaded it with BitTorrent. Total War: Rome II is out today and I'll be getting that so I'll redownload it while I'm playing it.

Hello,

Be sure to extract the torrent via WinRAR.
