More than 8 sims in a lot?

Post by ZomGhee on Sat 05 Oct 2013, 21:36

Hey guys, it is a question even though I know it can be done with Mods but since I am a noob at this I kinda wanna learn "how".

From videos & tutorials I saw there is the option to adopt a baby/child even if the household has 8 sims.

But my question is .. one of my sims(male) got abducted by aliens and got himself knocked up.

Since I already have 8 the game told me "the child is going back to its alien family since you already have 8 sims" or something like that.

Now.. is there anything I can do with the Master controller to allow him to have the baby? I don't want it to be taken away O.o

I dunno if this is a problem in-game, I don't think it is so I didn't post it in that category.

Hello,

With the NRAAS Master Controller you can change the settings so that you can have more than 8 sims.

Inside the game, go to any computer or click on the town hall symbol. Go to NRAAS/Master Controller/Settings/ and click on the option "Allow more than eight sims per house". A confirmation window in the top right corner should appear, saying
Allow more than eight sims per house = true.

That should do. Wink

You can still try NRAAS/Master Controller/Household/Add Sim. But I'm not sure if the alien baby will appear too...

I tried,  it doesn't, plus I don't know its name to try and find it :/

I tried various times without saving the game, even tried killing off one of his siblings and when the baby came I was asked whether I'd like to raise it or send it b ack to its own alien world.

But no option to add it beforehand since I have no idea what its name will be/would have been. lol

You may want to add NRAAS mover and maybe portrait panel for the extra people. http://nraas.wikispaces.com/Mover+Interactions

I have the portrait panel as well , basically I have the 3 , the base mod of master controller, the cheats and portrait panel.

I can use the "add sim" to move more people in my household but I don't think it works for pregnancies, if the lot already has 8 the game won't allow the baby to be kept.

Hello,

You can return the baby to your household after the birth I think.

I tried looking for the baby in the list to be able to add it to the household but I couldn't find it.

Since it was an alien baby the game just told me it will be raised in its homeplanet.

I didn't get to choose a name for it so I had no idea how to look for it to add it back.

There are a few options I don't understand but I'm slowly getting there.

Hello,

See if there's a filter for aliens. If there isn't, do you have a previous save from before the baby was born? Perhaps you can move the male out temporarily until the baby is born.

Hey Lady, no unfortunately I do not, I tried a few things here and there even tried killing one of my sims to see how the alien baby would turn out.

Didn't like the green thing all that much so I decided not to worry about it. I did try searching for it with various filters and nothing came up, it doesn't even appear in my sims genealogical tree.

Would you happen to know if nrass can help with enabling pregnancies even if my lot has been maxed out?

Twallan (Nraas) has a few mods that will work. Install woohooer and the mover mods. With woohooer there is a try for a baby option and mover has a default for more than 8 for a household. I started a test game when I saw this thread and I currently have 2 dogs and 10 adults, one just had a baby (13 Sims and pets total in the house) and two more Sims are expecting.
P.S. This is the most that I have had since I tried it the 1st time a few years ago, I had 22 Sims at one point but it became too much to handle for me. Happy with 4 or 5 and 1 pet. I think that between master controller, mover and portrait panel you can have up to 24 in a household.
