Hello,

In most cases it's enough when you just take out the mod again, from the Mods/Packages folder. But there are some mods which you need to "deactivate" inside the game. For example, there are some NRAAS mods which you have to deactivate by going into "town view", then you have to click on the town hall logo and deactivate the mod.

What mod is it exactly that you downloaded ?

Either way, I also recommend to delete all cache files after removing the mod and before re-starting the game. Go to My documents/Electronic Arts and delete the following things:

-CASPartCache.package
-compositorCache.package
-scriptCache.package
-simCompositorCache.package
-socialCache.package
-plus the contents of the folders "WorldCaches" & "Thumbnails"

And that should do. Smile

It's a bedroom set. Very Happy I'll try to delete those and I'll update you. Thanks! Very Happy

Make sure the bedroom set is for The Sims 3 and not for The Sims 2. I've had that happen when I was downloading things like crazy and accidentally downloaded the wrong version. Also, sometimes the game will slow down a lot depending on how many downloads you have. I like to go through my Downloads and Packages folder and clean them out from time to time.

Also, an object being 'corrupted' can also cause issues with your computer. I recommend downloading Delphys 'Dashboard' for .package items and Delphys 'Custard' which is very useful for those sims3packs. Both of which can be found from Mod The Sims. (Must register to download things, it's free)

Hello again,

It may be that this bedroom set is what simmers call "Bad custom content", and in this case you should remove this set again. Or this set doesn't work (anymore) for your base game patch version - then you have to remove it too, unless you find an "updated" version of it on the internet; but this is rather unusual.

Remove the set and see if anything changed - and make sure to delete the cahce like I explained above.

Thanks for all the answers, I just deleted the set and so far the lags were minimized. Smile
