No disc message despite Ultimate fix. [SOLVED]

Post by Artie_krap on Sat 19 Oct 2013, 04:43

I have a store bought copy of the sims 3 base game that worked fine until I installed my downloaded World Adventures and High End loft
despite using the cracks that came with the downloads which gave me the No Disc message, I tried unistalling and following the Ultimate fix to no avail same message. Game is fully updated to 1.63.5.

Also I am unable to install anything released after High End Loft, both with and without World Adventures and High End Loft installed as they give me this message

These expansions have worked for me previously but I Uninstalled them earlier this year to make more room.
I have followed so many instructions to get this to work somebody help me Crying or Very sad

Hello,

1) What happens if you un-install just the base game, and then re-install it again ?

Also, please (re-)read this here:  http://games4theworld.bestgoo.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly

You are not supposed to use the #cracks that are included in these older expansions; you should use the "Ultimate fix" (steps #3 and #4). Also, in order for that fix to work, you will need at least one of the following expansions/stuff packs installed:
Movie Stuff, Island Paradise, University Life, 70s, 80s, & 90s Stuff, Seasons, Supernatural, Diesel Stuff, Katy Perry Sweet Treats, Showtime, Master Suite Stuff, Pets, Town Life Stuff, Generations.

2) If the problem still persists, download "Your Un-Installer Pro!" via torrent from this site here http://www.games4theworld.org/downloads.html

After installing the program, remove everything related to The Sims 3 - double-click on the game icons and choose "Super Mode". Or you can do the un-install manually: http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:TS3_Uninstall

After un-installing, re-start the computer, and re-install the games. See if that works.

One question: Did you buy the base game via Steam? If yes, I am afraid Steam-bought games are not compatible with store bought/digital/cracked versions.

Can you - first of all - do a clean un-install of everything, like I explained in my first post ? And then, as cynical as it may sound, you might want to try Games4TheWorld's base game, available from this site:

Have you applied the manual patch before installing the expansion packs?

If that doesn't help, you probably need to attempt a clean reinstallation. I emphasise "clean" because I expect last time you didn't clean the registry keys after uninstallation right? If that is the case, download "Your Uninstaller Pro" from www.games4theworld.org. Afterwards, uninstall the base game and (if applicable) other expansion packs with the Uninstaller Super Mode (and delete all leftover files and leftover registry keys). Afterwards, proceed to installation.
