Continuous crash with Sims 3.

Salutations!

This is my first time actually having an issue with my game and I've read through several of the threads but none seem to be in reference to my issue.  I have all current updates and store fixes and haven't had any trouble with my game until this morning.  I played it yesterday and upon exiting I got the dreaded: "The Sims 3 has stopped working" message.  Since I was exiting the game I didn't think much of it.  This morning when I ran the game it  went through all the various loading screens and right when it goes to enter the game that error pops up again: "The Sims 3 has stopped working" and Windows attempts to find a solution but can't find one.  I've attempted to start it from TS3W, via the launcher and even as Admin.  I've changed nothing with my computer itself and have no installed any new games, software, etc.  Currently I'm running Windows 7 64-bit and meet the system requirements.  Any thoughts?

Can you re apply the Ultimate Fix from here?

I re-applied the Ultimate Fix that you suggested and the error is still occurring.  Is this going to end up being an uninstall/reinstall type situation?
