ERROR CODE 12

Post by almcfly661 on Fri 31 Jan 2014, 05:52

How do I stop this error from happening? I'm all up to date with patches and the latest ultimate fix. I dont know why it keeps happening but its killing hours I spend on the game because once it hits, I can't save. Maybe my Copy of Sims 3 is bad. idk. I know Ive had this game before I discovered this wonderful site! please help?

Hello,

If your Windows is a 32-bit version and/or if your computer has less than 4 GB of RAM, then there's not that much you can do unfortunately.

Generally, try saving in short intervals (every 10-15 minutes of 'real-time' gameplay), and then EXIT your game after about 45 real-life minutes (or less) of playing. After a while, you can re-start the game again.

Sometimes, it can help if you pause the game and go into "view town". And THEN save the game. But these 'methods' are only workarounds.

See what you can do with the article that Shamrock linked to, but other than this article and these small tips from me, there isn't that much else what comes to my mind. Wat.
