Laggy Island Paradise

Post by GamerGurl07 on Sat 01 Feb 2014, 21:38

Ok, so I did download Island Paradise from here and then installed it. Once I began the game, it ran okay for about half an hour but then it became glitchy. It freezes every two or three seconds. I turned off my anti-virus too. I have

Windows 7 64 bit
I Core 5 processor
4 GB RAM

I have the latest Ultimate fix installed too and have almost no CC content. Please help.  Help

Hello,

At first, have a look at steps #2 and #3 here (only these two steps; ignore the others there):

http://games4theworld.bestgoo.com/t857-the-sims-3-crashes-freezes-to-desktop-fix-updated-on-7-01-2014

At step #3 download that "4 GB patch" from the link given there. After downloading, double-click on that patch. In the next window, you need to go to your base game location and choose the TS3W.exe. Wait for the message "executable successfully patched", and then close the patch.

Now..I suggest you install NRAAS_ErrorTrap and NRAAS_Overwatch. You don't have to do anything else besides installing these mods; they will 'assist' your game automatically. If you don't know how to install mods, look at this guide here:

http://www.games4theworlddownloads.org/Downloads/Guides/How_to_install_.package_files.pdf

Moreover, try lowering a few graphics settings in the in-game options menu. See if any of these methods improves your in-game fluency. Good luck, and do report back to us ! Smile

Then do the other steps I mentioned too. Smile

Plus, have another look at the following article: http://games4theworld.bestgoo.com/t4692-game-lag-possible-fixes

Some of the things mentioend there were already mentioned in my previous post, but it's still worth reading it.

Good luck !
