Hello,

If a buy/build-mode item is red, it means that your household doesn't have enough money for it. Wink  In your screenshot, this pizza oven costs 1,200 simoleons, but your household (from what I see in the lower left corner of your screenshot) only has 505 simoleons.

Ways to "correct" that: (Razz )

- Press Ctrl + Shift + C to open the cheat console. Type testingcheatsenabled true and hit enter. Open the cheat console again. This time type motherlode and hit enter - this will give your household 50,000 simoleons, and you can repeat this process (typing motherlode) as often as you wish.

- Instead of motherlode, you can type into the cheat console familyfunds (name of your household) (enter simoleon amount here). As an example, if your household's name is "Miller" and you want to add 1,000,000 (one million) simoleons, then the command will have to look like this:

   familyfunds Miller 1000000

- You can save up money Razz  - so get your sim a job and rank up (i.e. get promoted), so to earn more money. Or if you have more than one sim, get them all a job, so that the income of them all will be added to your household's funds.

- You can go to a casino and try your luck at the slot machines and poker/roulette tables. Note that a high level of gambling skill is recommended in order to win often there. I'm not 100% sure about it, but maybe the "Lucky" trait of a sim can help too.

I guess these are the most common ways to get simoleons; there are of course many others, but that should be enough for now. Very Happy

Good luck - and happy simming !  The Sims Plumbob 1

The "store fixes" have nothing to do with that. Wink

These store fixes fix problems with several buy-mode ("premium") items. These problems can include the infamous "white boxes" that show up when your sim uses a particular item, or resetting issues when using items.

Do you have any other questions ? Smile
