Sims Features Change After Create A Sim

Post by miyuki2000 on Thu 13 Mar 2014, 16:19

Hello everyone! :DI'm new here, so I really don't know too much.

Anyways, I have a very big problem about the Sims 3 that I downloaded from this site, Games4TheWorld. Everything works so fine, I installed all of the games I wanted. Everything was going fine, from going to create a new game then to the real gameplay. First I wanted to do a photoshoot, so I imported my sim to an empty world called "CAS" so that it could load faster.:

But, when I import this sim to town, where there are community lots, residential lots, venues, spawners, and all that jazz:

I can't edit him, I tried putting him into create a sim, but only the global sliders work, not the other things. ;_;

PS: I use sliders, and yes, I have Master Controller and XCAS installed, which definitely increases the limit of number of sliders in game.

Please help, just seeing my sims have their face and features changing when I want to play just hurts me since I worked hard
just making their face..

EDIT: 03.14.14
-I read and followed the steps in the "How to Install The Sims 3 Properly" Forum thread.
-I tried searching, but I will try once more, I might have missed something.
-The problem started just when I started the game ;_;
-I run Windows Vista.

EDIT: 03.15.14
So I tried placing lots in the empty "CAS" World, and apparently evne though it is literally empty and i only placed blank lots, a book store and a hospital it still changes the sims features. Whenever I go to edit town first before i play, it just happens like that.

Hello,

Unfortunately I'm not too familiar with all this CC stuff, but did you make sure that those "custom sliders" are actually compatible with your current base game patch version ? If not, remove these sliders again...

Beyond that, maybe another Helper knows more. Wat.

It's compatible because, in the CAS world or an empty world their features don't go crazy... So..  confused

I'm honestly running out of explanations; but try this: in My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3, delete the following stuff:

-CASPartCache.package
-compositorCache.package
-scriptCache.package
-simCompositorCache.package
-socialCache.package
-plus the contents of the folders "WorldCaches" & "Thumbnails"

--------> the simCompositorCache.package is probably the most important one here, which has to be deleted, but make sure to delete all other ones listed too. Re-start the game then and make some changes in CAS. See if these changes "go crazy" again, after a while. I'm afraid that's all I can offer for now.

If I remember anything else, I'll let you know. Good luck for now ! Smile

It didn't work, :(I tried deleting the files that can be restored starting up the game. DCBackup, all of it except CC merged, Featured Items and the caches you suggested.

Does the same actually happen without these custom sliders ?
