The Sims™ 3: Sunlit Tides Gold Edition!

The Sims™ 3: Sunlit Tides Gold Edition!

Here we are, another neighbourhood for The Sims™ 3! This time we are going away from the normal, dull and boring neighbourhoods, but now entering a tropical paradise! This world is perfect for me, I do enjoy sending my sims to the beach for a nice day out, enjoying a night out in town or even just having a lazy day! This world reminds me of Isla Paradiso, but instead I'm not bored of this one, yet! If you're like me who like to invest hours into building lots for your sims and others to enjoy, this is perfect. I love building resorts in this world, I haven't quite got to building all the things I want, but there is plenty time for that.

You get 3 premium content items with this neighbourhood:

  • Infinite Zen Massage Table

  • Steam-It-Up Sauna

  • Keep Me Clean Outdoor Shower.

You also get more exclusive items to GOLD versions only!

  • Serenity Retreat
Rejuvenate your body and soul with a relaxing sojourn to Serenity Retreat! Submerge in the tranquil waters, be enchanted...

  • Tropical Hot Tub
Experience the heat of the tropics while lounging in the depths of this relaxing hot tub! Hand crafted from volcanic rock...

  • Tropical Dreams Wedding Arch
A little piece of paradise designed especially for you on the happiest day of your life.

  • Tropical Aquarium
Hand sculpted by the wandering fisherman known only as “Dennis”, this stunning aquarium is a must for fish collectors everywhere...

  • The Clever Curtain
The Clever Curtain is a curtain designed only for clever Sims. Seriously…the installation is a nightmare, it’s impossible to clean, and you’ll never figure out how to get the fabric out of that decorative ring!

  • Sunny Days Lounge Chair
Soft tropical wood and years of experience combine in this handcrafted lounge chair imported all the way from the other side of the world.

  • Implements of Relaxation
Just staring at this shelf loaded with fluffy towels, scented candles, and fragrant flowers makes me feel more relaxed…

  • Wooden Spa Column
This wooden column radiates relaxing energies. Use sparingly, or Sims may fall asleep.

  • Swiss Cheese Plant
Holey like Swiss cheese, but not nearly as tasty.

  • Bird of Paradise
Beautiful, tropical, smelly…these are all adjectives used to describe this flowering plant that is native to sunny islands.

  • Giant Fern
Nothing says “Jungle!” like a giant fern! Add a bit of tropical ambiance to your yard with this flattering plant.

Be sure to check it out for yourself here!

This world is beautiful, it's modern, bright, vibrant and fun to be at! The Premium Items are great for a resort, it gives it a tropical theme!

My Recommendations to make this experience amazing!

  • 'Island Paradise' Expansion Pack!

This expansion pack gives your sims the ability to open careers as a life guard on the beach, making it fun to be on the beach at Sunlit Tides! Also this gives you the ability to open and manage resorts, the exotic destination is perfect for a modern, funky and fun resort down by the beach! It comes with lots of CAS items, mostly beached themed which is perfect for this world. Lots of bikinis in this EP, so get yourself a boyfriend on the beach showing off your cleavage!

  • 'Business as Usual Bistro' Store Venue!

This item gives you a modern, colourful lot for a bistro, it will blend in really nicely in this world, even build your own bistro as you like in a resort or a separate business!

  • 'Skylight Studio for the Preforming Arts' Store Venue!

This venue includes another modern building, with the glass skylights, it gives a nice modern feeling, being able to work out while watching the glistening sun out the roof, what else could you want? It's true paradise! Also the gym and 'It's not Gross Public Shower' is perfect for parks, resorts and other places, it brings a realistic feature into the game.

  • 'Regency Arcade' Store Venue! & 'The Lucky Simoleon Casino'

This venue is very beautiful, it gives a tropical look from the outside with the tropical trees, however this venue is perfect for night time entertainment down the town, it gives you a feeling of gambling at midnight in the town while on holiday, which everybody loves! It includes arcade machines, slots and gambling tables!

Thank you for reading guys, this has been my 'The Sims™ 3: Sunlit Tides Gold Edition' review! If you love the smell of fresh palm trees on a holiday, this place is for you!

Hi, Very Happy
I can easily say this is my favourite town (Isla Paradiso is next Razz) cause I totally find it awesome!
There is a lot to do in it and I HIGHLY recommend downloading it! Very Happy
I don't have this town at the moment cause my game is already pretty slow WITHOUT any expansion/stuff packs and that's probably not gonna help at the moment but it's still a VERY great neighbourhood!
Good luck to whoever tries it!

Agreed ella! I really do hope they work on the loading screen times, they take forever, 5-8 minutes for a world to load, it's stupid! I hope this changes in The Sims™ 4! Ella may I ask what is making your PC slow without the Expansion Packs? My PC is Windows 8 and 64-bit too! Mine works fine, it's only Isla Paradiso that lags a bit for me!

Hi (again), Very Happy
I wish my loading screens took 5-8 minutes! Razz
Honestly if I knew what was causing the lag I would've fixed it by now! Smile I have no clue whatsoever cause I'm on a 64-bit Windows 8 also and my laptop has 435GB/675GB free, so I wouldn't have a clue what's wrong with it, I've had the laptop for less than 5 months and EVERYTHING else works smoothly but this Very Happy
So  Ban

P.S.: I hope the lagging in EVERYTIHNG reduces in The Sims 4 but I don't think it would! Mad

I have Windows 8 & 64-bit PC. I have all EP's and SP's installed and hundreds of store content installed (I install about £50 worth of Store Content everyday ;/) and mine is lag free, the only thing that lags me is Isla Paradiso because it's so large...

//EDIT

Here are a few tips to reduce lag and loading times!

1. Make sure you have a updated graphics card!

2. Turn off interactive loading screens (in the game options)

3. Reduce your graphic settings so your PC can handle it!

4. Uninstall mods, CC, store content, EP's or SP's that you don't use, it makes the game easier to load without having to generate all the extra features.

5. Also, custom music & CC can cause the game t

o lag a lot, so uninstall it if you don't use it!

Mod edit: please use the "edit"-button (in the top right corner of your post) if you feel the need to add anything to your original message. Double-posting is against the rules and it only means that I (or any other mod/admin) have to merge your posts into one. So please. Wink  Besides, thank you for that post, however, there are already various posts on that lag topic, in the "Sims (3) fixes" and "Sims (3) tips & tricks" sections.
