Can't update The Sims 3 to v1.50 fix. (Manual patch)

Hello,

If you, for whatever reason, can't update to version 1.24 1.26 1.29 1.31 1.32 1.33 1.34 1.36 1.38 1.39 1.42 1.47 1.48 1.50 of the game, please download the manual update instead. It is known to fix most of the errors you get when you try to update via the game's launcher, like the "Invalid File" error.
The manual patch can be downloaded here: http://akamai.cdn.ea.com/eadownloads/u/f/sims/sims3/patches/TS3_1.50.56.0210xx_update.exe

(The Mac version of the manual patch can be found HERE)


If you're using this in combination with our Ultimate Fix you have to use this manual patch INSTEAD of step 11 of the Ultimate Fix. (See included instructions of the Fix)

Will this work on a mac? If so, what application should i use because I tried with crossover and obviously it didn't work.. unless I'm doing something wrong..

No, I don't think it'll work, since it's an .exe file. You should contact our Mac -section for more help regarding this problem.

I was wondering if you can put this update as a torrent if it isn't much trouble . I've got slow connection so when I use utorrent to download files it goes way faster .

I don't know why I didn't just come straight here when I started having the same problem... I've been sitting here for the last 5 hours (no joke there) trying to figure out what I did wrong! You saved me another 5 hours of frustration! Thank you!

And hi I'm new here. Yesterday I re-installed sims 3 base game (retail) and installed every single expansion with instructions from this forum. At first I couldn't update to 1.26, but with this I could. THANK YOU the game is now good but the launcher is still a problem. I start the game with TS3W.exe (Sims 3/Game/Bin) because the launcher won't start it. ("Sims 3 launcher has stopped working..." and so on.) It's been like that for a long time :/ I guess I can now install Late Night and Pets, which I also bought...(?)

like me had problem with launcher.. (crash,,,)

install all WITHOUT EA downloader (just skip it when the install recommend)

i use all expanssion include master suite.

i have 6 DVD of the game but due to dvd detection problem, i use G4TW version.

Works like a charm!

It fixed my problem with my base game... then I started adding Pets then Generations.. and I didn't have any problems at all.

And Im just gonna wait for Late Night to finish to add it to my game!

This fix is just so awsomesauce!
