Stuttering Glitch (Mid-High FPS)

Post by OmG_PotatoeZ on Sun 18 Jan 2015, 22:31

I had the Sims 3 installed for about a week or so and then I started realizing that it stutters (I guess is the word for it) I get at minimum 30 FPS when it happens and it doesn't stutter when paused or in build/buy, only when playing as sims. It started off minor, pausing for only half a second or so and then resuming but lately it's been getting worse (30-60 seconds before my sim is no longer frozen in time) when he sleeps, the Z's continue to go but everything else freezes. It is really starting to annoy me, so I'd really like a quick answer. Thank you!

Hello,

Welcome to Games4theworld.
We have a list of things to try that can be found here, please let us know if any of that helps. If it doesn't, we'll look further.

Hello!

I did everything on the list and it didn't help. It's not that the game is lagging though, it's that it just randomly freezes. I get 60 FPS when this happens (Using the fps on cheat) I don't exactly know how to explainit though.

Hello,

I understand what you mean.
I recommend you start using an FPS limiter. Try the instructions on this page. You can download the tool from that page, or from this direct download link.
It can make a lot of difference.
