Sims 3 wont update to v1.67

Post by katzrkule on Fri 23 Jan 2015, 04:49

I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times and uninstalled and reinstalled the patch several times as well. But I keep getting a message that says "The installed version of the application could not be determined. The setup will now terminate." Because I can not update, I also can't download any of the expansion packs. I've looked all over the forum but can't find a fix? I've even tried the Ultimate Fix, and that doesn't help.

Hello katzrkule and welcome,

Where is your base game from ? Is it from Steam ?

And can you try right-clicking on the manual patch too, and select "run as Administrator" ?

My base game is from games4theworld, along with the rest of the expansion packs. As for the patch, i must redownload that as well. I'll try doing so right now.

Hi there,

First of all, apologies for the late reply.
Any news on this, do you still need assistance or is everything working fine now?
