Hello theneedy and welcome,

Try this: open the "start"-menu of Windows 7. At the botom where it says "Search for program" type cmd and wait until it shows up in the start menu. If it shows up, right-click on it and choose "run as Administrator".

Now, be very careful, and type the following into the next window:

bcdedit.exe/set nx AlwaysOff

Type it exactly that way; and then hit enter again. You should get a "success" message. If you do, please re-boot the computer. And then re-start the game. See if anything improved.

Look at that example screenshot, of how I did it:

Sorry, but you do EXACTLY what I described above ? And did you also re-boot the computer after that ? Also, try un-installing the game and re-booting the computer. Then re-install the game and see further.

That's very weird, but OK. Good to hear that the game is working (again) ! If you have any other questions, feel free to open a new thread at anytime. Or, if you again have problems with SimCity 4, feel free to contact me via PM, so that I can re-open this thread. Have fun ! Topic closed.
