The Sims 3 - Windowed "Full Screen" Mode

Post by Sim Architect on Tue 09 Jun 2015, 21:34

Hi there!

I just found out a very nice app that helps anybody, like me, that wants to play the game using the full screen, but still being able to multitask.

There is this program called Windowed Borderless Gaming, which works with Sims 3, that does the trick.

It can be downloaded in the link below (original program, freeware):

And, for Full HD, after doing the F3 thingy they say at their tutorials, you can ajust the window size and offset for a perfect view as shown below(considering you are running the game at your main display, otherwise you can do the math to send your window up, down, left, right etc):

It is a very nice and neat solution that will allow you to multitask while playing Sims 3 using your full screen resolution. You can just move your pointer to another monitor where you are doing other things or, in case you are using a laptop or computer with only one display, you can press the windows key and pick another window without closing the game or using Alt + Tab (even the latter is not fun, since your game takes a while to "recover", being a real "pain" when recording videos, specially!).

That's all for now, I will be posting a video tutorial showing the whole set up proccess eventually, but you can get the first hand info above meanwhile.

Happy simming!!!

Kind regards!
