The Sims 3 Store fix not working?

Post by CreeperGirl5510 on Sat 26 Sep 2015, 14:02

Hey, I need a reply urgently. So onto the case.
I had a laptop which had your Sims 3 downloaded (everything worked) and a bunch of store content,so I used a website that I trust to get the store content and the fix, everything worked like a charm!
Now I got a new PC so I took a flash drive, put the fixes in it and transported it over to my PC, but it doesn't work! Sad So I downloaded your fix (I am using .package files for the most part but .sims3files for most of the towns and the multitab 6000) and I din't really understand what to do for my case?So I tried the .package way, didn't work. but it works on my laptop, why so (even though everything is the same) ?
So am I supposed to do everything that it says?
Do I have to put the ccmerged file into my packages folder AND in the DCBackup?
And do the fixes go to the package folder AND overrides one?
(Again on my laptop everything is placed in the overrides folder and everything works just fine)
If you need more details just ask!Help

Google for "CC Magic", I think it's a tool that might help you with that on a more automatic way.

Well thanks for the reply . (BTW I watched your video on how to update your sims 4 to latest ver. And of course it worked)
But I still don't see how can it help me? It just all looks so confusing  Shocked
EDIT: I saw a tutorial about it on this forum, nothing too helpful.
Can you tell me what function exactly I need to use? Or something along these lines.

Hi! I remember CC Magic allows you to repack all your custom content into a lesser number of larger .package files, which makes the game running smoother.

Also, you can scroll down to see if any of your Custom Content is broken or in conflict, then you can disable it before repacking and fix your game.

But, remember, towns and houses need to be installed manually using the launcher, after you save the files into the Download folder, then you run the launcher and you install them manually. They're the only exception, though.

Keep us posted and happy simming!

OMG I sorted it out! The problem was this :
Some of the store content or mods (still didn't figure it out) is conflicting with the fix! So I took out my whole store content folder and only left the bakery set and it works, I can use it! So now I just need to find the store piece that is causing this.

Awesome! I will leave the topic open for now, so you can let us know what was in conflict when you find it, but I am happy to know you got your game working!

Happy simming!!

I found out that the brunch at the old mill is stopping the bakery & pizza station from working. As well as the japanese set that comes with the little sushi station WhatDidUJustCallMe? + the deep fryer, the ice cream machine is good but the deep fryer causes the bakery and pizza thing to not work. So weird! Maybe i will figure it out. thanks again.

Sorry for the very late reply,

Yes, the ccmerged.package goes into "Packages" and "DCBackup". Not so sure about the "Overrides"-folder now, but it doesn't hurt.  Very Happy
