Hello,

Welcome to the Games4theworld Forum!
Do you know how to navigate through the Registry?
If so, you can change the language via the following Registry path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Maxis\The Sims 4

And: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Maxis\The Sims 4 Get to Work

You have to change the "Locale" value to "en_US" for English.

If you don't know how to navigate through the Registry, this should give you an idea: http://games4theworld.bestgoo.com/t6052-there-was-an-error-during-startup-please-see-the-log-for-more-details-fix# (Note that you do not have to follow those exact steps, just look at the steps on how to open and navigate through the Registry)

Hi,

Well, you have to make the changes via the Registry, like I explained.
There's no way to do it by editing a file, for as far as I know.

Hi,

What doesn't work? Opening the Registry or changing the values of "Locale"?
I just read that the Registry Editor might be "locked" in Windows 10 (?????).

If that's the case, try this: http://www.isunshare.com/windows-10/5-ways-to-turn-on-registry-editor-in-windows-10.html
But I'm not sure, since I don't use Windows 10.

Hi,

Do you get an error when opening the Registry?
If so, what does it say?

Hi,

What if you run it as an Administrator manually from: C:\Windows\regedit.exe ?

If that didn't work, try running a test like this: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-2768856/open-regedit.html#16482164
(Not sure if this works, but might be worth a try: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-2623064/regedit-open-errors.html#15749348 - make sure to make a backup of the Registry key you're removing, if possible)

You don't need a special language changer for Get to Work. The registry entries in TS4 always remain the same, no matter what DLC you add. I don't think this is going to change for future DLC. And the reason the included language changer doesn't work for you is because your Windows is 32-bit, and the language changer is intended for 64-bit Windows systems.

This guide here is still valid:
http://games4theworld.bestgoo.com/t18573-changing-the-in-game-display-language-updated-on-01-12-2014

But I don't know why you can't open the registry. Use the links which Admin provided before, for possible suggestions, but you are supposed to hit enter after typing regedit. I know it sounds stupid, but just to make it clear.
