TS$ Get Together, no setup in folder?!

Post by JayBird42991 on Thu 28 Jan 2016, 21:41

I downloaded from your official site, i have TS$ and GTW exp. pack installed correctly and it works fine. However, when I opened up the Get together with 7zip, i extracted it to its own folder on the desktop. I opened said folder and it shows a list of files, and the instructions. But how exactly do I install this game?! I see no setup. exe or anything?

Hello and welcome to the forum @JayBird42991,

First of all I would suggest using the program WinRAR for extracting the downloads, in order to avoid any data corruption. Smile  You can get WinRAR 5.21 from the site here.

After that, you simply copy and paste the extracted files and folders over your existing Sims 4 installation folder, replacing the old stuff when prompted. There is no "setup.exe", that is correct. Instead, you need to copy and paste these folders manually, which in my opinion at least is more convenient anyway. A "setup.exe" does nothing more than automatically write/move files, folders and/or registry entries, sometimes after the user's input of certain parameters. But that is an automated process by and large.

And here - again - you just have to copy and paste those files & folders manually.

Good luck for now, and keep us posted !
