Uninstalled Origin Game - Won't let me install torrent game. [SOLVED]

Post by ferrette on Tue 19 Apr 2016, 19:33

Hi there,

So i was having trouble installing the expansions onto my purchased base game, so i decided to uninstall it and use the torrented Sims 4 from your website.

I following the installation steps - along with the expansion packs, but when I try to launch the game it tells me the game is out of date and to update it through Origin still, even though I uninstalled that version.

Not sure what to do Sad
Thank you for your help

//EDIT

Update:  Nevermind, I realised I had to delete the Sims 4 folder in "documents".

I'll leave this here so you can decide whether to delete it or leave it up for people who are stupid like me :p

You don't have to delete the sims 4 folder from Documents
Just open in Documents - Electronic Arts - The Sims 4 the file Gameversion with Notepad.
Change whatever it shows there into  1.13.104.1010 and save the changes

Welcome to the forum @ferrette,

Glad to hear this fixed your problem. Smile  And if you have any savefiles from before, you can copy them back into the Sims 4 folder under documents. So you don't have to start afresh with your in-game progress.

Feel free to get back in touch with us again, anytime. Problem solved, topic closed. Have fun !
