My Sims don't know where they are. [SOLVED]

Post by LittlePenguin on Fri 13 May 2016, 20:13

I'm running Windows 10, 64-bit. I have all of the EPs and SPs and store updates 1-26. Everything I have, I got from G4TW.

I started a new game in Twinbrook. I made new Sims and set them down in an empty lot where I built a house from scratch. I used "moveObjects on" while building, mostly to move the garbage and mailbox, but then I manually moved my Sims out of the way so I could make some stairs. I've since quit the game, turned my computer off and on, and re-started the game without enabling testingCheats.

They can enter the house just fine and then do one or two object interactions like sit on the couch and watch TV, but then they get stuck.

My screenshots don't show the control panels, but in the first one where they're floating over the foundation, I had right-clicked on one of them to put the camera exactly where they were. They both have two negative moodlets: It's Dark and Unfinished Room. As you can see in the second screenshot, the walls and floors have coverings and the room is well lit.

What's going on? Did I glitch something while building? Should I have installed the "complete collection" instead of each individual one? Has anything like this ever happened to anyone else?

Thanks,
LittlePenguin

Hello,

Did you try "resetsim" on them?

I just tried it. It worked for one of them but not for the other. I tried individually and en masse ("resetSim *"). For some reason, one of them remains stuck.

Thanks,
LP

Hello,

Ok, what if you evict them from the "edit town" screen, and move them back in?
