Also ignore those instructions. The guides that are included in all of them, to be exact. You only need the guide that I linked on the previous reply.

////Hello once again,

I am about to install Sims 3 Seasons but last time I installed it I had to uninstall and overwrite the whole Sims 3 + expansions on my computer and it was saying "Sims 3 stopped working".
Please tell me what did I do wrong there?

Hello,
first when installing you MUST follow this guide.
Update your graphic drivers.
Lastly add The Sims 3 to DEP either following The Sims 3 Optimization Guide or another guide which Carlos linked in previous post.

Perhaps you're trying to use too many for your system to handle. The game becomes more difficult to handle with each new addition. I've had to downsize myself because the game had become unplayable.
It may also be helpful to have a look here.

Do you get blue screen of death like this:

or something else. Just plain blue screen?

Hello again,

Depending on how long the bluescreen "stays" you may be able to memorize the code that starts with 0x0000....but you don't need to remember the entire code. The last 2 or 3 digits/letters in the code are crucial though.

Also, in Windows 7 and later systems, you should get a window when re-booting the computer the next time. The window will contain some information and also a line named BCCode. This is also the same as the code that you should memorize. What does the code say, then ?

Either way, bear in mind that it may not be something that we can help you fix; it could even be potential hardware damage, but let's not hope for that.

Before F: disconnected itself it worked nice, now when I plugged it back it can't launch game.

I have:

Base Game, Island Paradise, Late Night, Showtime, Seasons, Ambitions, Generations, World adventures, University Life

i installed showtime, seasons, ambitions, world adventures and university life via AUTORUN and Base game, island paradise and late night via sims3ep0[number]setup

I merged your posts again. That's the issue with external drives: if you disconnect them, they might receive a new drive letter, and after that it may not work. Does that external drive still have F: as its letter ?

Something may have gone wrong with the installation too. Did you create the install folders beforehand, on F: ? And did you by chance modify anything after the installation - maybe move some files or folders around ? Have a look at the thread here for more details.

Did you have a look at the guide that I linked in my previous post ? Maybe you misunderstood something there.

One message of the guide is that you should go to your external drive BEFORE installing the game. And then create folders manually. So right-click somewhere -> create new -> folder. And then make multiple empty folders. One for the base game, and then one for each expansion and stuffpack.

Because if you don't do that, all files and folders will "pile up" on your external drive, and it will look confusing. I've seen people then move these files & folders around "to create order", but it will only mess up things.

Also, if the game worked before, also try re-booting the computer and try the game again. See if it starts up.

Topics merged. You can download store worlds from the site here:
http://goo.gl/Qtbdt

Download the .sims3pack files of these worlds, and put them under Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads. Then start up your launcher of Sims 3, and go under "Downloads". From there you can install the items by ticking the box next to them and then using the button "install".

Good luck ! P.S. please also take note of the private message that I sent you.

Alternatively,  You can double-click any sims3pack to install it. Please try that, and let us know if that works.

Hello!
Sorry for very late reply.
I tried to do that but it still didn't install.
I applied Store Fixes to, I tried to figure out what's wrong for 5 hours, I did everything that should fix but it didn't work.

No problem; the "store fixes" are there to fix in-game issues with certain items. If you cannot install .sims3pack files, and you really want them...you could have a look here.
http://games4theworld.bestgoo.com/t2208-sims3pack-installed-world-inaccessible-or-wont-install-fix

The solution invovles essentially deleting all your currently installed .sims3pack files, and starting over. It is an uncomfortable solution for sure, but other than that I can't think of anything else.

Hello,
I did apply the http://www.games4theworlddownloads.org/ts3/storefixes.html, and the link you mentioned in the reply.
It's still not working, I copied some sims3pack files into My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads,
but it still isn't working...
I tried almost everything but again, it isn't working.

Hi there,

I see two possible issues.
First of all, your Launcher shows 0.0.0.0, which means you probably didn't follow the instructions in the original installation guide you were linked to, or something went wrong in the process. Does the game launch at all?

Also, can you send a link to the .Sims3Pack you're trying to install? It might be corrupted.
Have you tried double-clicking the .Sims3Pack file, as Edin suggested? You said that doesn't work, why not? Do you get an error?

Hi,
I did follow the instructions in the guide you linked to, and the game launches correctly.
I installed Overwatch mod.
I am trying to install store updates from https://www.games4theworld.org/downloads site, but I cannot install nor click.
I have installed:
Expansion Packs: All but Into The Future
Stuff Packs: High End loft stuff, 70s 80s 90s, Outdoor Living, Fast Lane, High end loft

What exactly happens if you try installing the .sims3pack files from the site there ? I was working on a store update for The Sims 3 which includes mostly .package files for the items. The only .sims3packs included are the ones for the neighborhoods/worlds.

I am basically ready, but I still need to upload that whole pack, and ask the other team members for a bit of input and feedback. But this pack - if all goes well - should remedy most problems with the horrible .sims3pack files.

Which is also a reason I think that EA have chosen not to use a similar DLC-format for TS4.

Re: Sims 3 launch problem...? [SOLVED]

Post by MilosGamerSRB on Mon 12 Sep 2016, 18:18

Hey,

After 3 months I figured out the issue.
While cracking Late Night I copied TSLhost.dll or whatever the name is and it changed version to 0.0.0.0. Then I replaced it with # Crack folder and it fixed issue.
