Corrupted files? [SOLVED]

Post by brunalorenzon on Sun 07 Aug 2016, 14:20

Hello!
Yesterday I installed the complete The Sims 2 and played it without issues, except for Avira that keeps accusing the crack file even after I put it in all the possible exceptions. But then I turned off the antivirus and the game worked perfectly.
But today when I tried to start it from the bin folder I got this message: "Some needed files were corrupted during the installation. Please reinstall this application".
And from the desktop icon in portuguese: "óiIw8i não está instalado ou está instalado incorretamente em seu computador. Por favor, instale ou reinstale", asking me to install ou reinstall something (óiIw8i???).
Do I need to reinstall the full game? What caused the error? Because probably if I reinstall the game, the error will happen again when I turn my computer on later, right?
I searched the forum but couldn't find an answer for this problem, I hope you can help me... =( Thanks.

I should try and install the required crack again.
Good chance that the problem will be fixed.

I replaced the crack file but it didn't work, I got the same message.
Then I reinstalled just the last pack (Mansion and Garden Stuff), replaced the crack file and it worked.
I restarted the computer and it's still working. So I think my problem is solved.
Thanks! =)
