Hello,
That's A LOT of cc files!
This page offers some solutions to view sims3pack files.

LOL you might say..
I can't imagine getting that much. Me, I'm only using a handful, that is 3 of Twallan's mods (error trap, vacationer and of course storyprogression), housecleaning for everyone (because it makes sense lol) and the no intro mod. No cc, just store content.
I think my pc would blow itself up.

What is error trap, vacationer?? may i ask........

mine has slowed down a bit with all the CC....

whats the lesser of the 2 evils... a lot of CC and a little bot of package files..

or a lot of package files ans a little CC....

as far as slowing down my pc...

thanx

The error trap basically prevents your neighbourhoods from becoming corrupted and rendering your save games unloadable.
The vacationer well I seem to have made a mistake there, its called the traveler. It removes travel restrictions for babies, toddlers, pregnant sims en pets. But it also allows you to go on vacation in any of the installed worlds.
Nraas has a lot of interesting mods here.
I'm not sure which is worse, .package or sims3pack. I do know that I was unable to use all the Nraas mods that I wanted, I can use the 3 I have now, any more cause lag, but whether that is caused by the file format or the complexity of the mods, I can't tell you.

I'm so super organised that I put all my CC in different folders named lots, sims, genetics etc. And I give them names so I know from the file name what they are like: Female A - Bikini 01 (Adult female, bikini). AND I even add a picture to that with the same name. Now I always know what CC I'm using Smile It's a little extra work but it saves you a lot of time figuring out what to remove when something isn't working.

Oh that is organised.
Custom content as in clothes and styles has never interested me much. I don't care much for fashion in real life and the same is true for The Sims. I sometimes change the colour or fabric of a piece of clothing, but that's it.
What I do like is furniture. But I haven't really looked much. I don't have that much free time that's really mine and I prefer spending that time in game Very Happy

Re: sims3 custom content

Post by Minaki on Sat 05 Nov 2011, 16:07

I currently have 44 files on my SavedSims folder, 1160 files on my Downloads Folder, 43 files on my Mods\Packages\Mods folder and 431 files on my Mods\Packages\Other folder. That makes 1678 files total. And that's just PART of my custom content, 'cause I had over 3000 files on my Downloads folder only. But I decided to just go with the custom content I use the most in order not to fry my hard drive xD

As far as organization goes I have organized folders and subfolders of everything I download on my documents. I don't have those folders on the sims folder per say though, 'cause I just run Delphy's Dashboard to identify conflicts and currupt files and then I use the windows search system to find all files with that name. That way I can find both files and the folder the other file is in and I just delete everything. Dashboard has been a life saver for me Very Happy

LOL
I have no idea why or how to change that, but perhaps the creator used a mod that you don't.
What happens if you have them change their outfit?

Hello,
Sorry for my late reply Very Happy
Well, then I don't know what could cause this, except that perhaps a mod was used when the sim was created, a mod you're not using.

Hello,

Try installing them one by one and see whether they show up or not.
You might also want to try this: http://games4theworld.bestgoo.com/t2208-sims3pack-installed-world-inaccessible-or-wont-install-fix

I recently found something that you can edit that and what female sims wear while pregnant. Twallans Master Controller can do this. After installing it a new tab will appear when selecting things. When the said sim unclothes to take a shower or bath just click on them select the new tab (cant remember what it says you cant miss it) you will open the master controller panel select Advanced then you can edit the sim in CAS and edit what they wear while bathing. You can do the same thing when a female sim changes into her maternity wears. Very Happy
