help help!!!

Post by Nura on Fri 04 Nov 2011, 17:58

I installed Pets and everything worked fine except one thing. The game
keeps crashing whenever I Buy/Build or randomly.It just freezes for a couple of seconds and then a "Sims 3 has stopped working" window shows up.I tried the
Freeze-Crash-Fix that I've read here but it doesn't seem to be working
for me.I followed the instructions and I even "Added" ALL
.exe files (just to be safe). But it still crashes. I do not want to
lower any setting of the Sims since it takes away good graphics and the
game worked perfectly fine before I installed the Pets.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

//EDIT

i did everything here http://games4theworld.bestgoo.com/t857-the-sims-3-crashes-freezes-to-desktop-fix-update-28-10-2011

Hello,
Its possible that your graphicscard or chipset isn't up to the new requirements that came with this expansionpack.
I understand that you don't want to lower the settings, I'm letting performance suffer because I insist on playing with medium settings (can't handle high) but it still might be something to try.
Depending on your system, you could also try to end unnecessary background processes but I expect that doesn't make much difference on high end pc's.
