Sims 3 Naming problem. [SOLVED]

Post by Casidesia on Fri 09 Dec 2011, 20:53

So, when i started up Sims 3, and had my sim go to a job, i noticed that the customers name had gone...er, computerized.
(look at attachment)
also, even lot names have gone like that. is there any way to fix this?

Hello,

I see. Do you have any Mods and/or Custom Content?
Also, do you have the Create-A-Pet tool? If yes, please remove it, restart your PC and see if it makes any difference.

I do have Custom Content, and have run the game without it, but the problem still persists.
I do not have the Create-a-pet tool.
EDIT: the world itself that im running it in is custom content, its the Hidden Springs world.

Hello,

I see. Are you sure you completely uninstalled all of the Mods and/or Custom Content? Nothing left in the "Downloads" and/or "Mods" folder and on your launcher?
Besides, did you notice the problem occurring after a specific moment?

Sorry, i forgot to check the button to not run with custom content (forgive my stupidity)
and the world im running in is Hidden Springs...is it possible that its a bugged world maybe?
actually, under closer inspection, all things that are getting the name changes are Hidden Springs-exclusive, buildings/people/ and such.
:/

Hello,

So, now that you know how to turn off Custom Content, did you retry?

The problem only occurs in Hidden Springs.
:/ I guess its just a world problem then.

Hello,

I recommend you uninstall the world and re-download it from our official MediaFire account. See if it makes any difference.

Hello,

Great! Glad to hear it works now. I should've suggested it earlier, but I prefer "troubleshooting" first.

Anyhow, it works now. Have fun playing and please let us know if you ever have any more problems!
