What's so difficult to understand ?

1. Base game goes via Setup. After installation of the base game, MOVE, don't copy the installation folder The Sims 4 from
C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to f.e. C:\Programs Files (x86)\The Sims 4.
So out of Electronic Arts. How ? - Ipen the folder Program Files (86), then open the folder Electronic Arts, rightclcik on the folder The Sims 4. Select Cut.
Then go to the folder Program Files (x86), open the folder. Look for an open space and rightclick again and select Paste. Make sure you are not pasting in an already existing folder.

2. All further DLC's is simply Copy the files and folders from the downloads to your newly created (at point 1) install folder The Sims 4
Some items exist already so overwrite !

Hello,

Welcome to the forum, first of all.
Mods do not go into your install directory, they go to the folder in Documents in stead. the path is: Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods.
