Sorry 'cuz of the wrong placed but I'm in a hurry and wanted to let you know, download as long as it is possible.
Goodluck surviving dutchies!

Hello,
That's bad news.
But I don't think its time to panic yet. All this pooha about TPB has been going on for at least as long as I can remember, which has been a while (lol).
There will be a way around it.

Hello,

Yes, I read about this hours ago. They must block the website within 10 days, otherwise they have to pay 10.000 Euros for each day they don't block the website. (With a maximum of 250.000 Euros)
I wonder why they did not let UPC and other providers block TPB...

Anyhow, you can always bypass this by using Tor!. Smile
Bye bye democracy.

Democracy has been an illusion for quite some time in this frikkin' country. This doesn't really surprise me at all.

Bye bye democracy.

Yeah well it's just so stupid, tha hell does the government (or provider) matter what we're doing? Just let us download whatever we want. Any idiot buys i.o music from iTunes, when it's about big numbers. You buy a iPod 160gig and you have to buy 50k songs? Watthefuck is that for something, 50k x 1 euro you waste fricking 50k euros on some songs? Pfoe
Like any1 still buys movies? At the highest point they rent it for 1 to 2 euro's but not further.
And of course games who'll pay so much money for games? Calculate: Sims 3 (when released) 60 euros
any expansion 40 euro's times +- 10
is 460 euro's on a game? LSHMSFOAIDMT( Laughing So Hard My Sombrero Falls Off and I Drop My Taco )

This happens with every good torrenting site: I remember Torrentworld or something like that which was just as good which got banned too. They better quit this.
What about Tor! ? whats it exactly?

Hello,

Tor! is used to connect to servers/websites via other people from around the world. This means the website, for example, thinks you're from Portugal, even though you're from somewhere else, you know.
More information here: https://www.torproject.org/

Seeing you all upset, I assume you're all using Ziggo and/or Xs4all? Razz

Hello,

Yeah, I don't know. Seems like they really want to put a stop to it. I think it was Stichting Brein that shut down Mininova too.
This should be BUMA's business instead.

Hello,

Of course, this is bad for their publicity. Now people will go for the other providers.
Don't worry, there's always a way to actually achieve freedom on the net.

Just read something awesome at Twitter.
Hackergroup Anonymous have hacked already the homepage of stichting BREIN. (www.Anti-Privacy.nl and one more) That's so funny, well most hate to BREIN. TPB.org already posted a message i.o the standard logo. They also advise VPN or TOR!.
Most people are angry about it so I don't know why they block it. Thought the Netherlands was a democracy?

Hi there,

Haha, you won't believe; when I read all those messages and saw all Brein websites being offline... a smile appeared on my face.

Well as much as this sucks, there will always be a way. Pirating has been around for a while and governments have always been opposed to it and yet, people are finding new ways to share, and new ways to stay anonymous and to find a different route to where they want to go.
The Dutch have a saying, something along the lines of there are more roads that lead to Rome.
I think that applies here.
