Sims 1 Complete Collection - Window 10 issues?

Post by MisterPeachy on Sat 29 Jul 2017, 01:25

I installed the Sims Complete Collection with no problems whatsoever. Whenever I try to launch it, my screen flickers to change into 800x600 resolution, the game launches as I see the icon via the taskbar but then the screen changes back and the game closes. Nothing shows up on screen and it is as if nothing loaded to begin with. I have tried compatibility and running as admin to no effect. Any help one can give is much appreciated.

Rightclick on the shortcut
Select Properties
Now you see a window showing "C:\Program Files\Maxis\The Sims\Sims.exe"

Put your cursor at the end of that line after .exe", type a space and a minus, r1024x768

"C:\Program Files\Maxis\The Sims\Sims.exe" -r1024x768
